Some links on Newfound are affiliate links. This page explains what that means, which programs we participate in, and how it affects the recommendations you read.
An affiliate link is a tracked link to a product or service. When you click one and make a purchase or sign up, Newfound earns a small commission from the company — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go direct.
Newfound participates in affiliate programs with the following services, all of which are featured in our Essentials page:
Wise, multi-currency banking for expats. SafetyWing, nomad health insurance. Airalo, eSIM marketplace. Surfshark, VPN. NordVPN, VPN. World Nomads, nomad insurance
We may add further programs as the site grows. This page will be updated accordingly.
It does not. Every service listed on Newfound is one we would recommend regardless of whether an affiliate program exists. We do not list services because they pay commission — we list services that are genuinely useful to people moving abroad, and then apply to their affiliate programs where available.
Where we have used a service ourselves, we say so. Where we have not, we rely on community feedback and published reviews. We never exaggerate claims or omit important caveats to improve conversion.
Affiliate links on the Essentials page are marked with an asterisk (*) in the disclosure note at the bottom of the page. All outbound links open in a new tab.
